People are rightly wary of things they have not experienced, or have had negative experiences of. Dentistry, marriage counselling and innovation consulting have this in common. Perhaps there is a fundamental disconnect between those whose business it is to control processes and those who make a living from disrupting and replacing them. Something to do with tolerance for intangibles and comfort with ambiguity.
